  • Ensure you have a zero balance in your Paytm account. You can transfer any remaining balance to another bank account or another Paytm user.
  • Keep your registered mobile number and a valid ID proof (PAN card, Aadhaar card, etc.) handy.

Steps to Close Your Paytm Payments Bank Account:

  • Log in: Open the Paytm app and log in using your registered phone number.
  • Access Menu: Tap the menu icon (☰) located at the top left corner of the home screen.
  • Help and Support: Navigate to the '24×7 Help' section.
  • Profile Settings: Go to 'Profile Settings'.
  • Account Closure: Select the option 'I need to close/delete my account'.
  • Reason for Closure: Choose "I don't use this Paytm account" (or a reason that applies to you).
  • Request Closure: Click on 'Message us' to initiate a request to close your account.

Additional Information:

  • If you can't access your registered mobile number, you can block your account by selecting "I am unable to access my Account" followed by "I need to block my account," and then submitting proof of ownership.
  • After your account closure request is processed, you'll receive a confirmation message. Your Paytm wallet balance will be transferred to your linked bank account within 7 working days.
