Huawei Retains Android App Support for Global Devices Amid HarmonyOS Next Rollout

Huawei unveiled its next-generation operating system, HarmonyOS Next, sparking confusion and concern among Huawei device owners worldwide. The major change in this OS was the omission of support for APK files, and the native Android apps. 

However, Huawei's CEO, Richard Yu, later clarified that international devices would not receive the new OS, ensuring that overseas mobile phones and tablets would continue using EMUI, a HarmonyOS lookalike based on the Android Open Source Project.

HarmonyOS Next and APK Support:
