Infinix GT 20 Pro Nears Launch as Spotted on Indonesia Certification Platform

Tech enthusiasts looking for a new smartphone might be interested in the upcoming Infinix GT 20 Pro. The device has recently been spotted on several certification websites (TUV, EEC), hinting at an imminent launch.

While details are still scarce, the Infinix GT 20 Pro has received certification from Indonesia's SDPPI platform, signifying its progress towards release. This certification, with model number X6871, doesn't reveal any specifications but confirms the phone's impending arrival.

Previously, the GT 20 Pro appeared on Geekbench, a website that benchmarks devices. This listing offered some insights into the phone's potential features. The benchmark revealed a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset and a healthy 12GB of RAM. The phone was also listed as running Android 14, suggesting a potentially bloatware-free experience similar to the Infinix GT 10 Pro launched last year. Storage options are expected to include configurations with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, or 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage.

In addition to the GT 20 Pro, Infinix seems to be prepping the Note 40 series. This lineup is rumored to include the Note 40, Note 40 Pro, Note 40 Pro 5G, and the top-of-the-line Note 40 Pro+ 5G. The standard Note 40 and Note 40 Pro are expected to be powered by the Helio G99 chipset, with varying fast charging capabilities – 45W for the Note 40 and 75W for the Pro version. The Note 40 Pro 5G might share some features with the GT 20 Pro, while the most premium option, the Note 40 Pro+ 5G, could boast super-fast 100W wired charging and a brand new MagCharge wireless charging system.
