OnePlus 13 Leaked Render Unveils Redesigned Camera Module

Just months after the release of the OnePlus 12 in January 2024, rumors are swirling about its successor, the OnePlus 13. A recent leak has surfaced online, showcasing a purported render of the OnePlus 13 that hints at a significant design change, particularly in the camera department.

Moving On From the Circular Design:

The leaked render, shared by OnePlus Club on the social media platform X, reveals a major departure from the signature circular camera module that has been a hallmark of OnePlus phones for years. Instead, the OnePlus 13 appears to adopt a vertically stacked triple-camera setup positioned in the top-left corner of the back panel. The center camera is encircled by a slightly wider ring compared to the other two, but the overall design leans towards a more subtle aesthetic compared to the OnePlus 12 series.

This design shift aligns with information previously shared by reliable tech tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. According to DCS, a prototype OnePlus device, believed to be the OnePlus 13, is undergoing testing and features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, ditching the traditional stainless steel hinge and circular camera module.

Possible Early Launch and Expected Specs:

The leaked information also suggests a potentially earlier launch date for the OnePlus 13, possibly arriving in October 2024. This timeline would be a slight deviation from the typical release window for OnePlus flagships, which usually debut around October.

In addition to the design changes, the leak suggests that the OnePlus 13 might retain the 2K display resolution found on the OnePlus 12. The camera system is also expected to be a triple-lens setup, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor alongside an ultrawide sensor and a telephoto lens.

It's important to remember that this information is based on a leaked render and should be treated with caution. While it offers a glimpse into the potential design direction for the OnePlus 13, official confirmation from OnePlus is still awaited.
