OnePlus Nord CE4 to Launch in India on April 1st, Powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Chip

Tech enthusiasts looking for a mid-range smartphone with a powerful processor can look forward to the upcoming launch of the OnePlus Nord CE4 in India. The official launch date has been revealed as April 1st, 2024, with the event scheduled for 6:30 PM IST.

The announcement comes from OnePlus themselves, who have set up a dedicated microsite on their website to reveal some key details about the phone's design and specifications. The teaser image showcases a triple-camera setup on the rear, consisting of two camera lenses and an LED flash module arranged vertically. Interestingly, this design aligns with exclusive renders leaked earlier.

The phone's right edge houses the power and volume rocker buttons, while microphone placements are visible at the top. OnePlus highlights that the Nord CE4 boasts a premium design inspired by the company's flagship smartphones.

Beyond aesthetics, a significant upgrade comes under the hood. The Nord CE4 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, a step up from the Snapdragon 782G found in its predecessor, the Nord CE3. This shift promises improved performance, with expectations of a 15% boost in CPU performance, a 50% improvement in GPU performance, and a 20% increase in power efficiency compared to the previous model.

The phone recently received BIS certification in India under the model number CPH2613. Leaked renders suggest a centered punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera, and rumors point towards an AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

Speaking of cameras, the OnePlus CPH2613, believed to be the Nord CE4, surfaced on the Camera FV-5 platform, hinting at a possible 50MP primary sensor (binned down to 12.6MP) with f/1.8 aperture and both OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) for sharper photos and steadier videos. The front camera might be a 16MP sensor for selfies.
