HMD Pulse and Pulse Pro: Affordable Smartphones Set to Hit the Market Soon

HMD, the company behind Nokia-branded phones, is venturing into its own line of smartphones with the upcoming Pulse series. Leaked renders from @OnLeaks offer a glimpse of what to expect from these new budget-friendly devices.

Dual Device Lineup:

The Pulse series will consist of two phones: the HMD Pulse and the HMD Pulse Pro. Both models share a similar design aesthetic, featuring rounded edges, a center-aligned punch-hole for the selfie camera, and a rectangular camera module on the back. Interestingly, the Pulse Pro has a thicker chin compared to the Pulse.

The HMD Pulse Pro is expected to be the more feature-rich option. Leaks suggest it will boast a textured rear finish, an HD+ display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, and a 50MP main camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is also rumored to be a high-resolution 50MP sensor. Under the hood, the Pulse Pro is said to be powered by a Unisoc T606 processor and will pack a long-lasting 5000mAh battery. For added convenience, the Pulse Pro might also include a 3.5mm headphone jack and basic dust and water resistance (IP52).

The standard HMD Pulse is expected to have a plain back panel and will likely share the same HD+ screen resolution as the Pro model. However, the rear camera setup is rumored to be a single 13MP sensor. Despite the trimmed-down camera, the Pulse will still benefit from a sizeable 5000mAh battery. Color options for the Pulse are said to include blue, black, and pink.

Pricing and Availability:
