Motorola Launches Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Fusion with Powerful Processors and Cameras

Motorola has launched two new smartphones in its Edge series: the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. Both phones boast Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, high-resolution displays, and powerful camera systems.

The Edge 50 Ultra is the top-of-the-line model, featuring a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a whopping 2,500 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, offering top-tier processing power. The phone comes with up to 16GB of RAM and a massive 1TB of storage.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra

The Edge 50 Ultra boasts a versatile triple-camera system on the back. The main sensor is a 50-megapixel shooter with optical image stabilization (OIS) for sharper photos. It's accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, ideal for capturing distant objects in detail. The front-facing camera also boasts a high-resolution 50-megapixel sensor for stunning selfies and video calls.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a more affordable option compared to the Ultra model. It features a slightly smaller 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1,600 nits peak brightness. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The camera system on the Edge 50 Fusion is a dual-camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor. The front-facing camera has a 32-megapixel sensor for capturing clear selfies.

The Edge 50 Fusion packs a larger 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging. It also boasts 5G connectivity, Android 14-based Hello UI, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Fusion are expected to go on sale in select markets across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania in the coming weeks. The Edge 50 Ultra starts at EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 88,900), while the Edge 50 Fusion is priced at EUR 399 (roughly Rs. 35,900). Motorola has not yet announced plans to launch these phones in India.
