Realme P1 and P1 Pro India Launch Date Confirmed: Design and Specs Revealed

Smartphone maker Realme is gearing up to launch a new lineup of P-series phones exclusively for the Indian market. The company has revealed two devices – the Realme P1 and P1 Pro – which are scheduled to debut on April 15th, 2024, at 12:00 PM local time. While full specifications remain under wraps, Realme has provided some key details on the design, features, and colors of the upcoming phones.

The Realme P1 Pro boasts a "Best Curved Display Under Rs 20,000" according to Realme's marketing. It features a 120Hz curved AMOLED display with a punch-hole selfie camera. The phone promises a Pro-XDR quality panel with Rainwater Touch technology, which is likely related to touch responsiveness, possibly improved in wet conditions.

Under the hood, the P1 Pro packs a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, touted by Realme as the "Best Snapdragon Chipset Under INR 20K." It will have a long-lasting 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Color options include Phoenix Red and Parrot Blue, and the phone also boasts an IP65 water and dust resistance rating.

The Realme P1 focuses on price-to-performance, with Realme claiming it to be the "Fastest Chipset Under Rs 15,000" powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC. It features a flat 120Hz AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, exceeding that of the Pro model. The phone retains the Rainwater Touch technology and adds an under-display fingerprint sensor for security.
