Xiaomi MIX Flip’s Camera and Display Specifications Leaked
Xiaomi is reportedly working on a foldable phone with a flip design
called the MIX Flip. Leaks so far have suggested a release in the first half
of 2024, and now new information has been revealed about the phone's cameras
and display.
Xiaomi MIX Flip Camera System:
Leaked details from the HyperOS source code, discovered by the Android
Headlines team, shed light on the MIX Flip's camera setup. The main sensor
appears to be the Light Hunter 800 (ovx8000), a 50MP sensor with a 1/1.55-inch
diameter based on the OmniVision OV50E sensor. This sensor is familiar as it's
also used in the Redmi K70 Pro.

The secondary sensor is the interesting part. It's rumored to be the
Omnivision OV60A with 2x optical zoom capability. This sensor is typically
used for the front camera on phones like the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, but in the
MIX Flip, it seems to be used as a secondary rear camera.
Finally, the front-facing camera is expected to be a 32MP OV32B sensor, which
is also found in the recently launched Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
Xiaomi MIX Flip Display:
The leaked information also suggests a display with a pixel density of 520
PPI, which is lower than the 560 PPI panel of the Redmi K70 Pro. Given the
Redmi K70 Pro's 2K resolution, this points towards a 1.5K resolution display
for the MIX Flip.

Xiaomi MIX Flip Other Leaked Specs:
Previous leaks from GSMChina suggested the MIX Flip might be powered by the
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor (model number SM8650). This differs from earlier
rumors. The report also mentioned two models with internal model number “N8,”
code numbers 2405CPX3DG and 2405CPX3D, and the codename “ruyi.” They even
shared a render image of the phone.
However, it's important to note that the same report claimed the MIX Flip
would not be available in India.
Summary:
The Xiaomi MIX Flip is shaping up to be a powerful foldable phone with a 50MP
main camera, a 60MP secondary camera with 2x zoom, and a 1.5K display. While
an official release date and price haven't been confirmed, leaks suggest a
launch sometime in the first half of 2024, potentially excluding the Indian
market.
