Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Leaks Reveal a Boxier Design with Sharp Corners

Samsung's upcoming foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, is expected to arrive later this year with a redesigned look. Based on leaked renders by reliable tipster Onleaks, the phone is expected to sport a boxier design with sharper corners, a departure from the slimmer frames of previous Galaxy Z Fold models.

The leaked renders reveal a significant change in the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Unlike its predecessors, the Fold 6 is expected to feature a thicker frame, hinting at a possible boxier design. The phone is reported to measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 mm when unfolded, making it slightly shorter and wider than the Z Fold 5. This new design aligns with the recently launched Galaxy S24 Ultra, suggesting a unified design language for Samsung's flagship devices.

Side Fingerprint Sensor and Triple Rear Cameras:

The leaked renders also showcase the placement of various buttons and ports on the phone. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, with volume rocker keys located on the same side. The left edge is expected to house the SIM card tray. Additionally, the renders reveal three microphones and a speaker grille at the top of the phone, while the bottom features a USB-C port, another microphone, and another speaker grille.

On the back panel, the renders depict a pill-shaped camera module housing three vertically stacked camera sensors and an LED flash unit. The report suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will retain the same display sizes as its predecessor, with a 7.6-inch main foldable display and a 6.2-inch cover display featuring a centered punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. Interestingly, the renders do not reveal any dedicated slot or mount for the S Pen, suggesting that the Fold 6 might not be compatible with Samsung's stylus.
