WhatsApp Now Allows Sharing Longer Videos in Status Updates
Good news for WhatsApp users who love sharing videos in their statuses! The
popular messaging platform is reportedly extending the video length limit from
30 seconds to a full minute.
This information comes from WABetaInfo, a website known for tracking WhatsApp
beta updates. According to their report, the latest beta version of WhatsApp
for Android (version 2.24.7.6) allows users to share videos up to 60 seconds
long in their statuses.

Limited rollout and future availability:
Currently, WhatsApp is only rolling out this feature to a limited number of
beta testers. This means not everyone has access to the longer video limit
just yet. Additionally, users will need to have the latest version of the app
to not only post these longer videos but also to view videos exceeding 30
seconds shared by others.

Previously, users had to break down longer videos into multiple status updates
to share them fully. This change allows for a more seamless experience when
sharing videos that fall under a minute.
There's no official word yet on when WhatsApp plans to release this update to
the general public. We can expect a wider rollout after the company thoroughly
tests the feature, which could take several weeks.
Benefits for users:
This update will be a welcome change for users who frequently share video
content in their statuses. It will allow them to share longer clips without
having to chop them up into smaller segments. This can be particularly useful
for sharing things like short snippets from events, behind-the-scenes
glimpses, or even quick tutorials.
Keep an eye out for updates from WhatsApp in the coming weeks. As the feature
gets tested and refined, we should hear more about when it will be available
to everyone.
