Fans of the Nothing Phone 2a in India are in for a treat today, as the company is set to unveil a new edition specifically designed for the Indian market. While details are scarce, leaks suggest it will likely be a new colour option.

Nothing India recently teased the launch of this new Phone 2a edition on a social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). The phone will be unveiled today, April 29th, 2024, at 12:00 PM IST. The company has remained tight-lipped about the specifics of this new edition, only stating it's "designed for India." However, a banner on Flipkart confirms the phone's availability on the e-commerce platform.

Many speculate that the new Nothing Phone 2a will simply be a new colour option. Tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) supports this theory. An Android Authority report suggests it could be a yellow colour, similar to the existing Nothing Ear A which comes in black, white, and yellow. However, another tipster, Technerd (@Technerd_9), claims it will be a blue colour option.

It's important to note that this special edition Phone 2a differs from the Phone 2a Community Edition Project announced last month. That phone is expected to launch in the second half of 2024 and will feature green-tinted phosphorescent materials. Currently, the standard Phone 2a in India comes in black and white colour options with three RAM and storage configurations. Prices start at Rs. 23,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant.
