Samsung Galaxy AI Reaches Over 100 Million Users with Latest Update
Samsung is expanding access to its Galaxy AI suite, bringing these
intelligent features to millions of users through a software update.
One UI 6.1 Update Delivers Galaxy AI to New Devices:
Starting on March 28th, Samsung began rolling out the One UI 6.1 update. This
update brings the Galaxy AI features, originally launched with the Galaxy S24 series in January, to a wider range of devices. These include the Galaxy S23
family (including the S23 FE), Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab
S9 series.
With this update, Samsung anticipates over 100 million users will have access
to Galaxy AI by the rollout's completion.
Availability for Older Devices Still Under Consideration:
While the latest update expands access to Galaxy AI, the question remains
regarding compatibility with older devices like the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung
is currently evaluating its existing product portfolio to determine if, and
how, Galaxy AI features can be integrated. Whether the entire AI suite or
specific features will be available on older devices remains to be seen.
Samsung has not provided a specific timeline for this evaluation process.
More Languages Coming to Chat Assist and Live Translate:
In addition to the wider rollout of Galaxy AI, Samsung promises to expand
language support for two key features: Chat Assist and Live Translate. More
languages will be incorporated into these features later this year, enhancing
their usability for a broader audience.
Summary:
Samsung's One UI 6.1 update significantly expands access to Galaxy AI
features. With this update, millions of users on newer Galaxy devices will
gain access to intelligent functionalities. While the availability for older
devices is still under evaluation, Samsung's commitment to expanding language
support for existing features suggests a continued focus on improving the user
experience through artificial intelligence.
