The move to eSIM technology offers greater convenience and flexibility for Vi
prepaid users. With eSIM, you can have multiple mobile network profiles on a
single device, eliminating the need to swap physical SIM cards if you have a
business and personal line.

The activation process differs slightly for existing and new Vi customers.
Existing Customers:
- Initiate the process: Text "eSIM" followed by your registered email address to 199.
- Validate your email: Respond with "ESIMY" within 15 minutes of receiving a validation message.
- Verify your identity: You will receive a call for confirmation.
- Scan and Activate: A QR code will be sent to your email. Scan this code in your phone's Settings under Mobile Data > Add data plan. Your eSIM should be activated within 30 minutes.
New Customers:
- Visit a Vi Store: Bring a valid ID proof to your nearest Vi store.
- Follow the Activation Process: The store staff will guide you through a smooth activation process.
- Online Activation (Prepaid Only): Alternatively, visit the Vi website [invalid URL removed] for online activation.
Compatible Devices:
Vi eSIM is currently available for a range of iOS and Android smartphones. A
comprehensive list of compatible devices is available on the Vi website, but
here are some examples:

Updating Your Registered Email:
If you need to update your registered email address for eSIM eligibility,
simply text "Email <space> New Email ID" to 199. After registering the
new email address, allow 48 hours before attempting eSIM activation via SMS.
